How do you create a home that can withstand the tropics of Singapore with minimal environmental impact? Well, Ong&Ong architects created this stunning house in Sentosa Cove, incorporating natural light, circulation and wind ventilation to safeguard from mother nature. Four levels make up this spectacular home, catering to the owners various familial needs. Situated between neighbouring apartment blocks, Ong&Ong’s challenge was to design a space that was both private with the feeling of openness and scope. Ong&Ong thought the best way to do this was to face the internal rooms inward into a courtyard, which, by the way, also functions as a circulation pivot, light-well, and ventilation exhaust. What is so masterful about this architectural feat is that whilst incorporating both function and environmental awareness, this sexy home is still a total a treat on the eyes!
